MIB renames ‘TTC’ satellite TV channel license as ‘Lokshahi’


The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB) recently renamed Yash Satellite Industries satellite TV channel license ‘TTC’. The Ministry has renamed the license to ‘Lokshahi’ which has been incorporated in the Ministry’s database today.

The satellite TV channel license was initially granted the license to Yash Satellite Industries Private Limited on 14th October 2011 to operate a NEWS channel named ‘Janadesh’. The license was subsequently renamed to ‘TTC’ and now ‘Lokshahi’. The license holder has permission for uplinking and downlinking in Hindi, English, and other Indian regional languages. The license has the permission to operate from GSAT-17 using the teleport services of Information TV Private Limited.

The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB) last week cancelled the license of ‘Adhyatm’ along with ‘Music F’ that was also cancelled on the same day as Adhyatm.
